Weekly workouts

  • Tentatively meet at 5:30pm on Monday
  • Warm up for 10 minutes on your own
  • Suggested workout will usually be posted on the blog.
  • Be prepared to work hard. 
  • We'll do a 400 yrd time trial and the times will be posted

Occasional Open Water Trips to Cochiti or Heron Lakes

  • Often, club members may either organize a full weekend lake trip, or just a day trip
  • Check the online resources for Heron and/or Cochiti Lakes
  • Bring a wetsuit
  • Be sure to bring lots of drinks to rehydrate and food for the long days of training.
  • It's best to swim with someone...we'll usually break out into groups or pairs
  • Bring a bright swim cap
  • Other training such as biking and running are also possible on these trips
  • Watch for emails sent out periodically from about mid-May to the end of the summer (sometime in September)
